I'm SO Thrilled I Got To Be Interviewed By Dendy Media!

Exclusive Interview with Danielle Allen

Wednesday, May 12th 2021, 2:39 PM EDT

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Allen.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Why don’t you give us some details about you and your story. How did you get to where you are today?

Well, I started on this journey knowing that I wanted to help people somehow. So I got my Master’s degree in Social Work at Hawaii Pacific University. I headed down this path where I thought I wanted to be a therapist for so long. But when I got introduced to Life Coaching and started getting coached myself, I knew that I wanted to do that. I wouldn’t be where I am today without my coach. Next thing I know, I’m starting my own business and setting up Moment of Truth and now I have a whole team of coaches that work with me and it’s surreal.

I’m sure your success has not come easily. What challenges have you had to overcome along the way?

It’s absolutely been a crazy ride, for sure. Starting my own business was exciting, but there’s a lot of things they don’t tell you. When you’re a counselor, you don’t really have to market yourself. I mean, you take insurance, and the insurance companies kind of do the work for you. But when you’re a life coach, and there’s all these other life coaches all over the internet and social media, you have to really show people why they should hire you. So getting some of my first clients was hard. I was charging so little just to get people to give me an opportunity. But after a while, it gets a lot less difficult, through word of mouth, great reviews, being a top pro on Thumbtack. It never gets easy though, working for myself and depending on my business is definitely the most terrifying feeling ever. I don’t think that will ever go away. But success feels really great, and I’m getting to be a part of someone’s life journey which is the most amazing thing in the world.
